@ Odradek: you’re lucky, I wish I could activate my automatic removal mechanism as well, but I haven’t succeeded yet :-). @ Pibroch: just so you know, I was joking, but maybe you could have avoided the Abba!:D @ Olè: Magma are beautiful and strange, but not at the level of those you mentioned (Wyatt and Soft Machine above all). Check out "Maximizing The Audience" by Wim Mertens, "Trout Mask Replica" by Captain Beefheart, "Heatwave" by Univers Zero, "Valentyne" by Colosseum, the 13th Floor Elevators with their "Psychedelic Sounds Of," "666" by Aphrodite's Child, and Marc Ribot with "Rootless Cosmopolitans" (just guitar; for me, he might be the best guitarist around).

Pibroch is more for the abbas, can't you see what kind he is? He loves the melody, give him the aor and he is happy :D

Well, frankly, between those fantasy ones and these, I don't know which are worse: what would these be, historical? Or is it the submerged Atlantis on the cover? It all seems a bit fantasy here too, and anyway at the edge of acute tackiness. But I have to give it to them; compared to the last of the labyrinth, this is a very refined and amelodic album. In any case, I don't know what "the cage" is about, but the music gives me chills. And then all these strange titles, what could they mean? Apocalyptic, Ecliptic, ecliptic, epileptic... what dark meaning (and not fantasy-like, no way, just imagine) lies behind these obscure titles? In any case, as the Stratovarius say, I'm comiiiiing hoooooomeeee (if that one wasn't half epic, at least in the lyrics). @ Bonny91: my discussion was generally about power metal; if I had to explain, going through group by group who has epic influences and who doesn't, I'd be here all night: in general, power is quite frequently mixed with epic, and anyway, the Blind Guardian, Tolkien or not, are even more tacky than these guys: at this point, I miss Stratovarius. Rhapsody, don't even get me started, they're Italian too (bleh)... @ the reviewer: Don't worry, I liked the review, I'm voting for it. Anyway, Dragonforce kind of disgust me a bit... without forgetting the dear old Helloween, of course. :-)

By the way, that bastard King has a habit of killing off in horrible ways everyone who is about to save the protagonist, cutting off the reader's hope. (See the sheriff in Cujo or that poor guy who gets mowed down by the lawnmower in Misery). In my opinion, King has serious psychological issues; maybe he enjoys getting them killed.

The historic challenge is this vs. Halloween. I solve everything by saying I hate both of them, maybe I hate Halloween a little less. @ Bubi: Misery by Reiner (who also directed Stand By Me) was a great film, excellent and Harris, and masterful Katy Bates (who, by the way, is also the protagonist in "The Last Eclipse" based on Dolores Claiborne by King), but I agree that the book was much better (I mean much more mind-blowing).

This is to make a long story short, let's say that "banalization of raimbow" is really the summary of the summary, there would be a lot more to say, but frankly, I don't feel like it.
