The Ramones are the same... all their songs are always the same, with a simple chorus that winks at punk... What's the difference between a ditty like "Bad Cemetary" and "Poison Heart"?! I mean, if Pink Floyd hadn’t evolved from album to album, they wouldn’t have gone down in music history, right? At the beginning, U2 might have had something good: just as a start though, because they haven’t made any artistic evolution... I respect a genius, regardless of the genre they make, but frankly, I see nothing genius about U2 or the Ramones... Take Porcupine Tree, who are more modern; they started with a kind of psychedelic electronic sound very reminiscent of Pink Floyd, then moved to progressive, and later to prog metal. I mean, in 15 years they’ve developed, changed genres, and each album has something more than the last. In every work, they’ve tried to do something new, innovative, and they have always succeeded in their aim. The quality of an artist is also about knowing how to change...

My boy, forgive me, but what Simple Minds were doing twenty years ago was mainly getting people to dance... I’m not saying they may not have made some "good" albums, but I deeply doubt they created masterpieces. In short, they’re certainly not in the history of the greats of music... The same goes for U2, they’ve been making the same music for 15 years WITHOUT EVER EVOLVING OR SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING NEW, just repeating themselves endlessly: One was a beautiful song, no one denies that they’ve also made some good records, see ACHTUNG BABY, but what I want to say is that they are not great and that they haven’t revolutionized anything nor invented anything. They have their own style but they don’t evolve it, reliably every 2 years they come back with an album indistinguishable from the previous one... and not innovative at all.

You're funny, you know? But at least explain to me what you find in U2 and Simple Minds, and don't tell me that U2 haven't been doing the same thing for 15 years...

Oh, so you mean not everyone has to prove it? Then even Britney Spears is a guitarist, she just doesn’t always show it... is this your little aristocratic fascist reasoning? U2, to you, are "artists"??? Haven't you realized they sing and re-sing the same top-ten song, which lasts 3 minutes and is based on 3 chords… And I’d like to point out that when Pink Floyd and Dire Straits were around, there wasn’t the same concept of commercial music as there is now… not every piece of crap made it onto MTV! And while Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, or Deep Purple invented and advanced music, U2 have done nothing but climb the MTV charts with songs that are copies of each other… And Simple Minds only got a few American high schoolers dancing in the '80s... And let me point out that a bit of good manners wouldn’t hurt… and anyway, get a grip… Enough with the insults: as long as we kept it to “charlatan” and “parasite” it was acceptable, but I won’t let anyone call me “idiot” and “smartass.”

I adored Ricky Martin when I was 13... Even though for me the real obsession was Enrique Iglesias... I have all his albums! :)))))))))))))))))))
Dave Matthews Band Busted Stuff

But why does nobody ever review the early live releases of the Dave Matthews Band, like LIVE AT THE RED ROCKS or LIVE AT THE LUTHER COLLEGE or LISTENER SUPPORTED? Those were truly undisputed masterpieces... Also beautiful is SOME DEVIL, the solo album by Dave Matthews. It’s really a masterpiece...

Simple minds are worth nothing... The super commercial U2, the only good album they've made is Achtung Baby... The rest... !
