So what can I tell you... they suck? I still like them... Daron isn’t focused when he plays... he’s out of it... it’s true that sometimes he hits random notes... I’ve noticed that... BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT I DON’T LIKE SYSTEM BECAUSE THEY KNOW HOW TO PLAY REALLY WELL (WHICH, READING THE REVIEWS, HAS BEEN DISPROVEN MORE THAN ONCE!)... I LIKE THEM FOR THEIR WAY OF INTERPRETING MUSIC... THEIR CHAOS OF MUSIC!!! Got it? And if you listen to "Peephole," you’ll notice it’s played like a kind of mazurka... in 3/4 time... THEY'VE GONE CRAZY!! THEY’RE ALREADY AT THE END OF THEIR ROPE!!!

They suck because they have some crappy sound technicians... in fact, the main flaw of the live performance is the guitar that sounds like thunder and almost whistles... it's a matter of the technician adjusting it... the bass, on the other hand, is amplified perfectly... the singer is good and is barely out of tune... the drummer is quite precise... (even though his drum fills are sometimes a bit improvised... but I actually like that more!)... with time they will improve, you'll see!

I love this album... A LOT actually... I completely disagree with those who say they're a band on the decline... on the contrary... in my opinion... as time goes by and if their understanding improves, they will soon release a MASTERPIECE... but I don't like their label.... Elektra wanted to protect this album like the others they've released... see St. Anger... then it was the D.T. who disagreed!!! DID YOU HEAR, DEAR?

DO THE SYSTEMS PLAY PROGRESSIVE????....I can accept that in post-hardcore, but they really don’t fit in the progressive genre...maybe they are vaguely and abstractly progressive in some songs when they hit us with those atmospheres...but Bibiane...are you sure you know what progressive is? I've been following it for almost 3 years now in almost all its forms...progressive is the spirit of the musical revolution that aims to break away from the worn-out standard of "BEAT" songs from the '60s and the subsequent rehashes that are based on the boring structure of "intro-chorus-post chorus and ending"...progressive is the soul of jazz spirit fused with the atmosphere and complex structure of classical music....got it? Sorry guys...it's not that I want to play the professor...but clarifications are needed...got it Bibiane...I really liked your review..I just criticized the way you classified the System under your review...bye Bibiane and sorry again!!! ;-)

Great review... I live for S.o.a.d.... they are extraordinary in every way... I really like the bassist... listen to the solo he plays on "steal this album" in the song "streamline"... or in the intro of "psycho" (this one on Toxicity).... and then TOXICITY is my favorite album... WHO DARED TO OFFEND IT? The system is incredibly original in their sounds and above all THEY DON'T PLAY NU Metal, they play Heavy Rock Demential inspired by the principles of punk lyrics... with musical arrangements typical of American Heavy Metal.... Serj is great... oh dear reviewer... just so you know, he doesn't just play the keyboard... in some songs (Aerials, Chop suey... more generally on Toxicity) he also plays guitar along with the legendary DARON!!! System Forever...... :)

The album isn't that bad...the first track..."ain't my bitch" is nice and I kind of like it....I enjoy Hetfield's vocal performances on this album....but unfortunately, they're not a "San Remo" style band, so the rating for the album can't be anything different from this!
