"Doom seasoned with slow and heavy riffs often dull and self-indulgent" EH? Is this how you define the history of Black Sabbath? Metal was born with these riffs!
"Ozzy needs to be made to mumble or at least whisper"; "The absence of Ozzy is a true blessing for this epic and solemn experiment," yet from 5 to this album. Ozzy here was still Ozzy and sang superbly, at least in the studio. In my opinion, deep down you don't want to admit that you're starting to like Ozzy's voice...
