I listened to some tracks from the album, described by critics as "surreal." I'm not sure if that was exactly a compliment... There are some nice ideas, even though the concept of using toy instruments isn't new. I remember a few years ago there were musicians playing with the CPUs of Gameboys.

Masters at Work, Letfield, Basement Jaxx, Deep Dish just to name a few. But here we are mainly talking about house.

Nice album, whose best quality (or flaw) is the variety of tracks. Great cover of "Satisfaction."

Thank you editors for the link on "Blaxploitation". Very timely because the term has been mentioned in no less than 3 reviews in the last few days. Bye and have a great Sunday.

now yes. Hello :-)

Great review of an unjustly underrated artist. Modern soul-funk draws heavily from his productions; by the way, a remix album of "Superfly" is coming out, following the work done for Roy Ayers. More Black music on Debaser! Hi
P.S.: I loved your other reviews in this genre on Funkadelic, Stevie Wonder (though I prefer "Innervisions"), Sly and the Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, etc. What modern Black music do you listen to?
