little comment on Paz: it's her business if she got involved with Zwan, her problem, she must have had her reasons. it's true that Billy has changed, I liked him much more before, and if he used to be that angry depressed guy and now he's decided to turn his life around, that's his business, and in my opinion it has nothing to do with whether he's in love or not. maybe it's old age. and just because he tries to make "positive" music doesn't mean he's LAUGHING at war and bombings. he would have to be a fucking insensitive person, and I really don't think he is. I'm curious to hear his solo debut. he described it as "poetic, stupid," and I'm a bit worried in that sense... I think it's leaning toward Zwan's music. unfortunately, the SPs are a totally closed chapter.

It seemed like I wanted to blame you for something, but I realized we were saying the same thing. I just emphasized that I respect Courtney. You weren't part of my "YOU WHO ACCUSE HER" and stuff like that, okay? Better to clarify.

I have immense respect for Courtney artistically, and don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten that. For the past twelve years, I have always defended her because it hurts me to see this relentless persecution against her. She hasn’t done anything wrong. If she’s a little crazy, it’s not her fault. You who accuse her, if you were in her place, you would all be dead by now. And as far as I know, Frances Bean is fine with it. And don’t bring Kurt into this; he has nothing to do with it, what the hell does their drug use have to do with it now??

This review is crap, I’m really sorry.. apart from the fact that it was just BAD.. You didn't need Kurt Cobain to understand that Courtney's got balls, actually she's got tits, because saying she has balls meaning something good is sexist.. But then there's not even a little bit of respect, that minimum for every HUMAN being. Dude (you can only be a MALE) well, I’ll just tell you that you STINK of pure misogyny and sexism. I felt nothing but disgust reading this damn review. AS is not an album that changes the history of rock, not like Hole for sure, but in my opinion Courtney will keep kicking everyone’s ass until her death. And that's far away. Kaputt??

First of all, I want to say that I don’t want to diminish either Brody or the Distillers, since I really like them; the cool rock is in their hands. I think it’s boring to compare Brody Dalle to Courtney Love, anyway I find Courtney better than Brody, and Hole better than the Distillers. I don’t doubt Brody’s talent, but she will never be able to "steal the crown" of rock from Courtney. Clove is timeless. Therefore, I don’t agree with the review. I don’t believe that CORAL FANG makes LIVE THROUGH THIS "pale in comparison," if anything, it’s the exact opposite. Anyway, I really like the Distillers; it’s a great album nonetheless. And I need to respond to criticisms made towards Courtney and Brody regarding their husbands. They have talent, that’s it. There’s no need to look at them from that perspective because they are women. Let’s be clear, it’s incredibly sexist. For example: if a male band, with no connections, had brought LTT to Sub Pop, they would have produced it without hesitation. Bias skyrockets when talking about girls. Cl and Bd fell in love, end of story. And if their husbands were high-profile, well, that’s another story. It’s obvious that I don’t know for sure, but I believe neither has ever used their bodies to get ahead.
