Anyway, sometimes I don’t understand you... far from secret messages... For me, this album is very beautiful simply because you can tell that it is played with care and a desire to convey musical beauty, beyond all the complexity of Gurdjieff's theories and teachings. I find that both musicians are very good and above all that there is a great rapport between them.

I think that the musical experience is fundamental for Gurdjieff and not secondary at all. This is evident in the way his followers tend to protect it as if it contained an extremely important secret...

But it seems to me that Odradek and I were in agreement on a feeling of depth of listening...

This album, as I have already stated with a nice 5, I really enjoy. I find that the cello adds an intensity and depth to this music that often lacks in other piano interpretations of Gurdjieff's works. It’s an album that resonates with me directly and not just as an "exercise in knowledge."

In contrast to nightwalker, Gurdjieff's more "natural" dimension seems to me to be the musical one. After all, it is he himself who attributes to it a power that goes well beyond mere entertainment or a simple expression of feelings. Music is knowledge... But I must confess that my approach to Gurdjieff's music has been, however, emotional and instinctive, not supported by philosophical studies or predetermined exercises... Rather, I allowed myself to be captivated by the sounds, the atmospheres... and by the reading of some tales from the Mille e una notte...

I find that this review has the precious gift of synthesis, managing to convey the essential qualities contained in this beautiful CD.

How nice, Odradek, to reread something of yours. I know this record and find it very fascinating for its rhythm and sounds.

Thank you Hal for fully quoting the phrase by Pasolini that I included in the CD booklet. The inspiration for this composition came from a line of a Psalm (Chi mi darà le ali di colomba.....), but it was important for me that there was a secular counterpoint, an ideal thought, that could truly "gather together from the four corners of the earth" all of humanity without any distinction or judgment. Well... did I exaggerate??
