Even without the blues and the noises of Blixa and the others, the Depeche wouldn't exist... More than anything, I don't understand why you're against "Street Fighting Years"; the songs are decent (the title track is timeless), the arrangements are fantastic. Maybe it's a bit slow... but I prefer it to some of the earlier works.
