LA RECENSIONE

...and then there's Dale's. No ZANG TUMB TUMB, but it's safe to say that the drummer in question - on this occasion, also a guitarist and vocalist - knows how to do his damned job.

Assisted on bass by his companion Debbi Shane, our man kicks things off with "Hex Me", a sludge riff that could go on for a hell of a lot of minutes but stops at just over a minute. Then, a piece with a vaguely hard-rock flavor in a pseudo-stoner key ("Dead Wipe") comes along to remind us who inspired the three Melvins for these EPs. "Respite", on the other hand, remains the piece closest to the classic repertoire of the band.

Another four minutes to close with style: the CroverMachine is in full throttle in "Hurter", and it almost feels like hearing Helmet!

Count to 10... already over. But you can say a lot in twenty damn minutes, right?

KISSiamo the hands!
