Wow.....I challenge anyone who has listened to heaven and hell (and has at least a shred of modesty) to say that Ozzy is better than R.J.Dio.....

Avantasia is like a sort of German national team of power metal with Tobias as the head coach. The album might not be essential, but it's very enjoyable, and as a Helloween fan, it's a real pleasure to hear Hansen and Kiske together on the same record!!!

I'm not in agreement at all... sure, the sounds aren't progressive, but they are melodic and catchy, with keyboard riffs that are typically 80s. However, that doesn't change the fact that the songs are beautiful and played with great mastery by some real monsters of the rock scene.
