Heard for the first time on the radio the other day, I thought, "What is this? The new single from Skin?"... it's true that I'm not a fan, but I've listened to Absolution enough to recognize the singer's voice. But what happened to him?!... for my taste, it's a song that's too distorted; maybe I need to "digest" it. For now, I'll give it a 2.

I didn't understand the review, but the album has a special place in my collection... what can you do, I was 16 in 2001!! "infinito" is one of my favorite songs, and then there's "via," "nei silenzi," "oasi"... so many memories!

No, I didn't mean to say that if a CD is over ten years old it can't be appreciated anymore. I absolutely don't think that, especially during this time when I'm discovering albums and artists from the past that I had for a long time considered "old and useless." I just wanted to say that this particular CD struck me for being very contemporary in relation to what I felt while listening to it, so little "outdated" both in terms of sounds and the emotions it conveys, which don't show all those years at all!.. And then I wanted to imply that if I had heard this CD ten years ago, it probably wouldn't have made the same sense it does now, that's all! Unfortunately, I generalized too much and that sentence came out which, read this way, seems like nonsense.. I hope that the fact it was the second review I was writing serves as a mitigating factor.

Great review, kry!..it seems like the plot of "La meglio gioventù"! It doesn't matter that it's not a "classic" review and you didn't say anything about the album, that's fine too! You wanted to share with us the emotions and memories that this music brings back to you! As for the Cranberries, I used to like them a lot and I even have the cassette of "Stars," their best of...now I don't listen to them anymore because after 3 months of studying two really boring Irish authors, I started to hate Ireland and everything Irish (U2 are barely saved, though)..anyway, congratulations!!

"Is it possible that a CD could appeal to the twenty-somethings of ten years ago just as it appeals to a twenty-year-old today?" hahah that's too funny!!!...I see some sarcasm in your comment..let me understand, you never make mistakes?

However, "gift" was a beautiful song. Back then (we're talking about summer 2000), I was starting to record songs from the radio, and this was the first song on my first cassette, so it has sentimental value! I'll listen to the CD too to see if it's really that challenging.

I've been listening a lot to "Il Giardiniere" lately, very fresh, light, and carefree. I don’t have this CD, but I’ll listen to it sooner or later. Years ago I recorded "Vento d'estate" from the radio, and I listen to it every now and then, especially during times like this... I think he's an interesting singer-songwriter; he tries to write non-trivial songs, and often he succeeds. And four cheers for your review!

But I think that with the voice she has (or rather, the voice she doesn’t have), if she hadn’t learned belly dancing, by now no one would give a damn about her as a singer! ... which is absurd!

You always write very well, but in this case, more than a review, it seems like you've written a justification for why you listen to this CD. That's fine too, but it would have been nice if you had said something more about the songs... The new song, I think the title is "hips don't lie," is not bad; it’s really fresh and summery, as you say. As for Shakira, I won't comment...
