Francesco De Gregori Calypsos - 9 canzoni nuove
Voto:
Nice review, I haven’t listened to the album yet. But if you say that Capossela is on the edge of plagiarism with Tom Waits (and you're not entirely wrong, mind you, but you don’t have all the reasons either), I’d like to point out that it’s pretty much the same story with De Gregori and Dylan. Anyway, great review.
Paul Simon Graceland

Truly beautiful this, in my opinion it is Paul Simon's masterpiece. Strange that it wasn't already reviewed, you've filled an important gap.
Serge Gainsbourg Histoire de Melody Nelson
Voto:
Indeed, intriguing was exactly my goal... the point is that Gainsbourg is a celebrity in France, but almost nobody knows him outside. It’s a bit of a shame; in my opinion, the qualitative level of his songs is roughly that of a French Paolo Conte (with all the possible limitations that certain types of comparisons have, which are quite silly in themselves).
Herbie Hancock Inventions & Dimentions

Great review, and Herbie is a genius (even if he drops a few goofy moments every now and then, like "Possibilities"). I don't know this guy, but he seems like a good suggestion....
Warren Zevon Excitable Boy
Voto:
Warren Zevon is indeed great; his songs are full of irony and dark humor. If Breton were alive, I think he would have included him in the anthology. Perhaps you could have written a couple more words, but it's a nice idea nonetheless.
Sanseverino Le Tango Des Gens

interesting....

Thank you easycure for your enlightening contribution. These are mechanisms that are indeed interesting to understand; I had actually sensed some of these things but I didn't have the data at hand...
Leonard Cohen Songs From A Room

This album is stunningly beautiful, "Story of Isaac" and "The Partisan" give me chills. Well done, Grasshopper!

I don't scientifically deduce; I just share my humble opinion. Please don't be offended; there's still freedom of thought. I confess I didn't know that the money went to the families of the victims. But that doesn't make the album any better when I listen to it, and it remains quite ugly and at times full of annoying rhetoric. At this point, I prefer to donate the money directly to charity.
Bruce Springsteen The Rising

This album of suffering gives us absolutely nothing. If there's intellectual honesty in this record, it's proof that Springsteen is an idiot. If there isn't, it's proof that he's a scoundrel... Probably a bit of both.
