John Zorn Six Litanies For Heliogabalus
Voto:
After a few more listens, I have to correct myself; it's a decent album, but not among the Zornian masterpieces in my opinion.
John Zorn Six Litanies For Heliogabalus
Voto:
I'm listening to it again today with Moonchild, and I've come to the conclusion that it's not bad at all. Let's say it's not among Zorn's best works, but still definitely a good album. More than anything, what confuses me about this trilogy are Patton's pre-verbal vocalizations, which occasionally teeter on the brink of gagging.
Gabriele Muccino La Ricerca Della Felicità

Gabriele Muccino La Ricerca Della Felicità
Voto:
Muccino really gets on my nerves, I give a 1 to the character and I hope I won't be forced to watch the movie one day ;)
Fabrizio De André Non Al Denaro, Non All'Amore Nè Al Cielo
Voto:
I believe that De André never considered himself, as you say, a literary figure (what an awful word, like something from a high school literature essay :( ), I think he is now turning in his grave...
Miles Davis Nefertiti
Voto:
I wouldn't exactly call it free, let's say it's rather distinctive. It's definitely a great album, Nefertiti is brilliant, it rocks even though it's a jazz piece.
David Holland Quartet Conference Of The Birds
Voto:
In my opinion, you underestimate Holland: "Holland is not a discoverer of new sounds, he has never contributed to the expansion of the language of his instrument, and he doesn't have any particular gifts as a composer or arranger." I disagree; he is a remarkable composer and arranger with a very modern sound, a synthesis of fusion, free jazz, and much more; his sound on double bass is extremely distinctive and easily recognizable. He has indeed contributed to the language of his instrument. He is not a second-tier artist; he is just a bit less famous than other jazz musicians, which I believe is unjust. I only know the title track of this album, and three stars seem a bit low. This guy really knows what he's doing; I recommend Extended Play, which is a great album.
Francesco Rosi Salvatore Giuliano
Voto:
Good job, Poletti, great comeback.
Morgan Da A ad A (teoria delle catastrofi)
Voto:
I don't know, but you might be exaggerating; at a glance, Morgan seems like a half-baked idea.
Roberto Benigni Pinocchio
Voto:
The vote was for the movie, sorry punny I'm a bit scattered.
