It doesn't seem obvious to me to protest about the deaths of young people that happen every day, nor about the aid that has arrived extremely late just because they're people of color... Many important topics, therefore heavily discussed, can seem taken for granted, right? I don't know, that's how I see it, but everyone has their own opinion...

I only have "Soon Over Babaluma" but this is definitely worth a listen... everything is really beautiful, Lewis...

I like the idea of a dialogue with the listener... however, I don’t agree about the album; for me, the sounds are his, infused with soul, rock, and blues, a classic by now but not flat, rather very passionate. Not to mention the lyrics, which in one of the two CDs are engaged and protest against the Bush administration and the scandal of Hurricane New Orleans, in defense of the African American communities. Then he talks about the absurdity of the war in Iraq... deaths in exchange for oil... I don't believe that there can be such a thing as something that's been 'heard before' or 'said before'—protest is protest! Anyway, your idea is nice... the album is good for me.

Nice review, concise, but it conveys. The album for me is a 3.5 considering that I like the genre...

Thank you for sharing...beautiful review, I read it all in one breath, eager and waiting for the ending...but in my head, I had another music, perhaps (at least for me), more connected to what you wrote, also a compilation, the soundtrack of "Hotel Rwanda," do you know it? I recommend it...
