Jovanotti L'albero
Voto:
The album is beautiful in its content, but I'm not crazy about its form. Here, Lorenzo reaches his creative peak, with songs that are never predictable. Even "Bella" manages to never be boring. The only problem is that, being a rather unique record in terms of sounds and lyrics, it’s quite difficult to listen to it in one go. Over an hour of music might be too much; maybe two CDs would have been better. But that's just my opinion.
Jovanotti Lorenzo 1999 - Capo Horn

A discreet record, a disc never listened to. But from what I've heard, it's definitely not among the best. L'ALbero is a great album and "Buon sangue" is not bad either. Lorenzo is never banal, remember that! And live, all his strength, energy, and charisma emerge. Definitely among the best Italian artists of the '90s.
Lucio Dalla Henna
Voto:
Trash, don’t be grumpy and touchy: no one here spoke ill of Dalla, we discussed successes and failures. Almost every artist in their career has had moments of great inspiration and vice versa. I would never dare to call someone like Dalla incompetent. Truly.
Eros Ramazzotti Calma Apparente

I think the early albums of Eros were a bit immature, but the lyrics were quite convincing and interesting. Then he made three albums that I believe are worth listening to ("In ogni senso," "Tutte storie," and "Dove c'è musica"), and after that, total oblivion. He is an artist who, especially lately, could have given so much more.
Stadio Storie e geografie

I’m sorry to say it, it truly breaks my heart. But this time I agree with Punny. The review isn’t the best, but her second post is really interesting: the music that Stadio made was good for their early period. Looking at the setlist of the double CD, there are also some historical pieces of value, for goodness’ sake.. But they have been rearranged in a pathetic way. And then, over twenty years of career, they haven’t changed a thing. Always the same old tune! To be clear, I don’t hold any particular grudge against Stadio, who for me have been a very good band (how can I forget “Chiedi chi erano i Beatles”, “Generazione di fenomeni” and “Grande figlio di puttana”). And they remind me of “I ragazzi del muretto” which I watched as a child on TV.. Nostalgic...

Sure! There is one, but it doesn't last 6 or 8 bars... Often Edge's solos aren't very long but they're really effective. And believe me, they make a difference. Try listening to them again. Even in the album in question, Edge does some excellent things: The Fly, Love is blindness (one of the most beautiful and essential solos of his entire career), Ultra Violet. I reiterate that he has a unique style of execution. And in any case, even the rhythms are beautiful, powerful, and effective.

Emanuele, I agree with you (I think you really listened to it). The album is too trivial. Still, I hope that at least you’re not part of the crowd that believes Eros’ career was mediocre even when he wasn’t spectacularly blowing it.

Strawberry, it's not true that The Edge doesn't do solos. Remember Sunday Bloody Sunday or Bullet the Blue Sky? And again: The Ground Beneath Her Feet, New Year's Day, I Will Follow... There are countless examples! If by solo you mean the standard set by Slash, Jimmy Page, and Co., you're mistaken. The Edge's style is absolutely personal and unreplicable.
