Stefano Bollani: good and ironic. Well: Italian jazz also on Debaser. Hi. Thanks.

Beautiful "listening" of Places, which will lead me to a re-listen. Brad Mehldau is one of the jazz musicians I follow and pursue. Among other things, in 2003 he also paid tribute to Nina Simone in one of his concerts, playing Lilac Wine. Unfortunately, he hasn't included the piece in his albums. But he remembered her, and since few have brought flowers to Nina, this makes it even more precious to me.
Thank you for the comment on aquatic by the Necks. Very interesting musicians. Also for the architecture of their very long pieces. They are difficult compositions that make them quite unique.
Until we read each other again. Bye.

GABBOX!
Hello. I haven't disappeared from DeBaser. I'm just slow. And I prefer to focus on the musicians who strike and intrigue me the most. The Necks are among them. Your observation about their use of time is very true. And the drums are fundamental to their "holding." I'm glad you like them. I've found that they "work" primarily in autumn and winter, when it gets dark. They aren't spring and summer musicians. However, I wanted to let you know that I've started a series of tributes to my "soul" singer: Nina Simone on DeBaser. For now, taking advantage of some videos I've been able to put on YouTube, I've started with a piece about "Little Girl Blue": Little Girl Blue - Nina Simone - Recensione di AMALTEO
And definitely don't miss this video:
Hello. Looking forward to reading again.

Thank you, Addison. Really, thank you so much. Yes, it’s true. For years I've been irresistibly drawn to Nina Simone. I know every facet of her life, all the versions of her performances, her contradictions, the historical context in which she lived, her friends... it happened that way. For years I've tormented my friends (sometimes with incomprehensible failures). Now it's time to transfer this love of mine (which is not painful, even though I often cry when I hear her) to the friends of Debaser. Flowers. Flowers for Nina. I wish flowers and flower petals would arrive at her grave that doesn't exist (she wanted her ashes scattered in four points around the world). I still don't understand how and why this happened to me. It’s an irresistible surge of feeling, uncontrollable by the functions of thought. It’s like a continuous infatuation, repeating itself with every listen and now on the occasion of each of these videos that I managed to upload to YouTube. Your words suggest I invite you to read this piece of mine on the Cult page of the SandZine site: Sands-zine - no-zine dedicata alla musica indipendente e ad altre storie di (stra)ordinaria follia
Goodbye, until we read again.

Hey there! It's me again.
I’m listening to "Little Girl Blue" sung by Janis Joplin. Beautiful, very beautiful.
But... those who sing "Little Girl Blue" can be divided into two main groups. The first is Nina Simone, the second is everyone else. Among everyone else, Janis Joplin stands out.
I’m under a spell.
