Don McLean Tapestry
Voto:
Pleasantly read. It seems to me that Don McLean has been greatly underestimated and superficially remembered only for the undeniably excellent "American Pie."
Queen A Night At The Opera
Voto:
One of the best albums by Queen, but in 1975 there was a ton of better stuff than this.
John Robertson L'Arte e la Musica di John Lennon
Voto:
Say what you want, I liked it.
The Police Synchronicity
Voto:
I enjoyed reading it, even though I had already read and commented on another review of this album, which I would have concluded with "Wrap around your fingers" (perhaps because their Greatest Hits from '86 ends with this song).
Enrico Rava Rava On The Dance Floor
Voto:
I'm curious: a musician I love covering the music of an artist that (rest in peace) I abhor.
Martin Scorsese Re per una notte
Voto:
To review... I watched it years ago, but not with the due attention. On Rupert's speech as a counterpoint to Travis, I largely agree with Darkeye.
The Beatles Revolver
Voto:
The first CD I bought, Christmas 1993. In my opinion, aside from "Abbey Road," it’s their best album, despite some actually weak tracks (especially in the second half of the record), but they don’t bother me within the overall context of the work.
The Beatles Rubber Soul
Voto:
A remarkable step forward, both for the lyrics and the music, compared to "Help." I particularly like Lennon’s contributions. And then Harrison is starting to get some space as well.
John Cale Shifty Adventures In Nookie Wood
Voto:
The good old John Cale is holding strong...
Ian MacDonald The Beatles - L'opera completa
Voto:
There are many books about the Beatles. I haven't read this one, but it seems to have an original approach, and I also appreciate "critic" perspectives, even though every evaluation inevitably contains a percentage of subjectivity. For me, who loves to know what lies behind an album, this book is a must-have.
