Beautiful review, which captures the atmosphere of a "concert behind closed doors" as it typically is for a jazz album recording. Encore!!

Curious, if nothing else for the recovery of the analog, even though I don't believe it reaches the levels of Irrlicht. I've heard some digital compositions and found them, with all due respect, boring. Long live the knobs!

Great review, complete and with some curiosities (I didn't know Macca recorded Michelle all on his own). The album represents a big leap forward compared to the previous ones, especially in terms of musicality and arrangements. I don't fully agree with the judgment reserved for George Harrison; he's certainly not yet at the level of John & Paul, but he still made two more than decent contributions on this album. Let's not forget the addition of curry he brought to the Norwegian Wood...

Great review and excellent tracklist, although I too prefer Satchmo the trumpeter over the singer-entertainer, for he conveys an irresistible zest for life.

Was there some awful drug in the bowian brunch? :-)

Always sharp and timely. This album serves as a pendant, but in a worse way, to Battiato's latest. I have also loved, and very much, the Prof., despite the inconsistency of results, but I would feel like giving him a good ear-pulling. He doesn't even have the excuse of unreleased tracks to place.

I read an interview with Battiato last Sunday, mainly focused on the current political situation and incidentally on the album... I think it's a rather hasty release, from the "minor" Battiato, though there are some interesting points: the title track and "Inverno"; for the rest, there are many things we didn't really need... I would have preferred a "Fleurs 4," perhaps re-recording the songs from the pre-Fetus period, the ones he still refuses to revisit; that would have been an event :-)

The reception diminishes over distance... in short, it's not very nice to write thirty lines of preamble and sum up the album in one word; that way, someone who knows nothing about the album will know just as much as they did before... Luckily, I know almost all of it, and I can say that for me it grows over time (I particularly like Stay).
