Don Caballero What Burns Never Returns
Voto:
@ alessioIRIDE: in fact, that's exactly why I said "if you want," if they really have to be labeled, even though for them, and especially for this album, the adjective fits perfectly. Anyway, in my personal opinion, Hella are a poorly executed imitation of them; there's none of Williams' deadly guitar originality or Damon Che Fitzgerald's amazing drumming. I can only enjoy Hold Your Horse Is, but there's no comparison whatsoever with Don Caballero.

I have remained at their destructive "Berlin debuts"... I'll see about getting updated.

when, still in my adolescent unawareness, I considered them a noteworthy group, this album already made me feel sorry for them.

I got to know this album 15 years ago... but it wasn't at all a source of revolutionary inspiration. Around the same time, I discovered the Doors, and that did indeed open the doors of perception for me in many ways. Anyway, singing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" at the top of my lungs is one of my fondest memories.

"Of course, almost nothing was created in that decade"... I'm sorry, but I disagree. The '90s created a lot, and if we look at it that way, even the '60s and '70s didn't create everything either; they were also reinterpretations of rock 'n roll, which in turn was a reworking of certain black music, etc. I don't like the philosophy of "those were great times, too bad we weren't born then"; every era has its reasons, or every era doesn’t have them... it’s the same. For the rest, I will try to address my almost complete ignorance about this artist, especially since people like Lisa Germano or Tracy Chapman, with whom Tori is, as far as I know, very aligned, are pleasant to my ears. Thank you for the suggestion. See you soon.
