a record that I used to play a lot... but now I assess very critically... except for Something In The Way and Endless Nameless. Then, regarding the "it sounded kind of good," there's a lot to discuss... Kurt had an inner turmoil that he unleashed on the guitar, allowing him to compose things that were sometimes very beautiful... but don’t tell me that he knew how to play (even though I couldn’t care less whether a musician knows how to play well).

I felt like listening to the legendary King Lizard again... I don’t have this album but I’ve gobbled up the Doors for years... and I get goosebumps every time I hear tracks like Riders on the Storm or The End. Timeless!!!

But imagine Porpulan... in my opinion, yours is not something particularly personal. I believe it is quite objective: what is defined as post-rock has its roots in that Louisville-Chicago axis you mentioned. I don't think anyone can deny it. But that experience has paved the way for others: the Mogwai think they can be defined as post-rock, even though they are different from the bands that founded the genre. As for Sigur ròs, I don't think so, or at least they are very much on the margins, at the border between new rock and the dreamy Scandinavian electronics that have emerged in recent years.

No Purpulan, I'm not talking about the Mogwai as if they created post-rock... I don't think I said that... your comment is more than accurate (even though I disagree about gastr de soul and instead would place Codeine, which you didn’t mention... but that's not the point). But the band I've reviewed, if you listen to them, has nothing to do with first-generation post-rock. What I meant to say, and if I expressed myself poorly you were right to point it out, is that Mogwai or Explosions undeniably created a certain way of understanding the genre that a ton of bands, like This Will Destroy You, have then referred to, often with very little originality. But it's undeniable that "they've set a standard." As for the fact that they don't deserve much credit, I partly agree. They are a great band, but they haven’t managed to innovate and surpass themselves... anyway, thanks for the note ;)

Antmo, I can't tell you if it's the best... I can tell you that it's the one that intrigues me the most.

Thank you for the advice Festwca... I don’t know them... but I’ll take care of it. Anyway, I prefer the instinctive chaos of this album to the others... which are still great albums...

BUT WEREN'T WE SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT MUSIC!!??
P.S: Stunning album that deserves a much better review (But I don’t think I could have said anything better!!) and sorry if I’m talking about music.
