I don't approve of them, just people trying to do jazz-fusion. The comparisons with those groups are valid even if you forgot to include Faithless, which in my opinion is the one that resembles them the most, just see the latest mass destruction. They lack creativity by trying to synthesize everything on a single basis that I don't even like how it sounds.

Anyway, a Tool album needs to be bought beforehand to judge it, even if stylistically it’s perfect for me; it has a very rock twist, I mean at times it reminds me of Helmet and QOTSA, but where's a "The Grudge"? A "Eulogy"? They're nowhere to be seen... the solos of Adam and Danny together. I mean it’s not even an A Perfect Circle record... but what the hell is it?

I mean, I even bought CDs by Amen, Spineshank, or for example One Minute Silence, which I’m not bragging about but it really helped me a lot to buy them because I had a blast.

theBlackAngelDeath is absolutely right.. I mean, it's not cool to have everything burned; if you like something, just buy it, right?

AFX Chosen Lords

In my opinion, you should have made a distinction between the works of Aphex and those of AFX because musically they are diametrically opposed. Here, someone might think they’re getting an Aphex Twin album when they buy it and end up disappointed because it’s all ambient-chill-out, not devastating braindance and pure electronic music. Anyway, the album is exceptional even though it could have filled all 80 minutes with more analord....ciaoo

"This album holds up against two of the three previous ones." Well, Undertow is the worst of Tool, so you're already off track. 2 Nothing can compare to the technique and melodies of Aenima and Lateralus. 3 I just finished listening to this CD and I was left skeptical at how bad it can be. A Tool CD without a Ticks & Leeches or a 46&2, what is that? We all know that stylistically and technically they are geniuses, but that’s not enough to create something comparable to their previous peaks of madness. I know that judging a CD by comparing it to old songs is nonsense, but that’s what made this band special, not a mere attitude of being stylish... the review is obviously 1, the CD 2, because maybe it will improve over time... I believe that in 10,000 days I'll flush it down the toilet...
