It means that you shouldn't seek the meaning of music.. it seems to me that you always stop to analyze issues of signifier, even when you make statements and justify them, as you say.. oh then there are questions of priorities that everyone identifies in music, since I like to always grasp the sense and meaning of an album, I made this observation to you, it doesn't mean at all that you were wrong for this.

The review is a good historical overview, but it is descriptive rather than interpretative. It's not just a matter of intertwining influences. The Television revolutionized the use of the guitar in rock music. They subjugated it to a poetics that genuinely aims to convey the demands of a profoundly different generation. Their music is neurotic, suspended, apathetic. Nothing like it had been heard in New York before. Nevertheless, a masterpiece; Ohio and New York were true revolutions... not to mention the English nonsense. ;-)

Psycho, I completely agree with your thoughts. First of all, the fact that, regardless of everything, it's finally an album that really says something, and second, that this is one of the most important albums of the decade... well, it hasn't been a particularly great decade, but this is still a fantastic album.

Wow, with all these reviews about DT, the fun is guaranteed... between fans spouting ridiculous nonsense (the one that prog is the only genre and the rest is for kids is genius) and Metallarobionico tossing me aside with the oddballs... that one about the most touchy person is fantastic! :-D Great MetallaroBionico!

if there were any need for it, this review is yet another demonstration of how pointless it is to review every single piece of an album.. but damn it, with a record like Mirrored by Battles, which is unanimously considered one of the best albums released, perhaps even in this decade, I have to see FOUR reviews on the latest DT... I would have been happier if they had doubled up on the Battles.. at least it would have been proof that lobotomy isn't that widespread after all
