x know-it-all: my intention was not at all to make a flight of fancy, by which I mean something that is self-referential... is that unclear? from my point of view who cares... certainly, if I didn't have any content in mind, I would never have started doing an auto double-take (oh my! what heresy!! :-D) ... furthermore, from YOUR point of view who cares, you can wisely say the same... :-D if you find the review disorganized (as it probably is... it's also a matter of "style"), I'm perfectly fine with your rating... less so with some of your comments, which I am, and have been, responding to for a reason.

I'm usually very reluctant to these "novelties".. but you convinced me big time!

I have a mountain of memories tied to this record... that's why I judge it poorly... but you write well!

"Whatever your mood, sad, angry, or happy, there will always be the right song on this album." With this phrase, you could have already fully described the album ;-)

Why not.. I think your way is the best to review this album.. after all, it's the most classic of emotional albums, so letting yourself be carried away by the emotions is the best :-)

Grandissimo Walter Hill. I didn't know this and you've made me incredibly eager to see it. I'm looking for it.

Even them?? To say that the Battles will end up in oblivion with all the crap marketed as revelation that has circulated in this decade seems really like a "face like an ass" statement :-D (jokingly speaking).. I really don't understand where you can see "children pretending to be grown-ups". Not to say, but beyond their musical value, they are all talented musicians in spades. The drummer is someone who played in Helmet, stuff from 17 years ago. What seems "childish" about that, I really don't know.. all the others have been innovators and/or forerunners of a certain way of understanding post-rock with Don Caballero and the likes.. to say they are "seasoned" is an understatement.. well. Not to dispute the opinion itself, but your reasoning seems a bit obscure to me.

Damn, this is really great news.. the last one was unlistenable. You're referring to Check Your Head.. but is there any psychedelic flare like in Hello Nasty? ..anyway, I'll definitely give it a listen.

People get angry... but why do they get angry? Reflect on who the real "unhappy fools" are; the answer might be unsettling for you ;-D
