To Barry: I don’t know, I still find them exaggerated in wanting to replicate the Floyd shows exactly as they were, and on top of that they are getting monstrous publicity that is completely out of place compared to what they actually are: a copy and nothing more, as scholarly as it may be... could it be envy? : )

Zaireeka is absolutely right: quoting Foscolo and Leopardi, besides being out of place, is decidedly presumptuous. And the fact that this music is backed by a "monstrous amount of technical work" means absolutely nothing...
R.E.M. Out Of Time

completely agree. It's an album that at times feels mediocre (Radio song, the same Losing my religion), and at other times composed of tracks that seem almost like B-sides from much better records (Low, Belong). R.E.M. is an above-average band; there's no doubt about it, but this is an album that's definitely quite average...

Beautiful! However, they rub me the wrong way from the start. Now, not that I'm the best person to criticize, playing in a cover band, but what I want to say is that there's a difference between doing covers for fun and making a bit of money, and doing it as a job and living off it by copying someone else's image, music, and even stage design. The setlist, then: as long as it's David Gilmour saying they are the best, it's not exactly a great compliment; they limit themselves to covering Dark Side and a few other classics, as if the Pink Floyd were only that, echoing, from what I've understood, a lot of the setlist from "Pulse".. Well..

Nice! 99.9% of today's little crossover groups smoke..
