The Guns 'n Roses were so trendy and lacking in originality that Vic is perfectly right: the Guns' rock is dead and buried for 15 years, swept away (thankfully) by an immensely more sincere and forward-looking rock, namely that of Seattle (but the real one, not the STP). So Cloud, in my opinion, you really missed the mark with that comment of yours.

useless useless useless. fried and refried junk of stuff that’s been overly heard and re-heard. Where is the personality? Where is the originality? Where is a shred of style, of interpretation, or at least of re-interpretation? Pathetic. Four "old" rockers, already not essential to begin with, who just want to make money.

It's a shame that bootlegs aren't considered like official live recordings. There are bootlegs that would outshine many of these prestigious live shows...

Yes, it's considered the best live show in history, etc. etc. but honestly, after a while, I can't stand all the improvisations and solos that stretch every song excessively. The guys definitely lacked a bit of conciseness and humility.

I just wonder what sense a group like Velvet Revolver makes in the year 2004; completely obsolete, it really has no reason to exist other than to make a few million dollars for the record label (not coincidentally number one on Billboard) with a sound that would have sucked ten years ago. Useless.

I don't know if the album is a 5-star one, but the review is nice, nice, cute, cute...
