Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Damn, manu '84 your comment is seriously hitting hard... just brutal... no need to tell you that I couldn't care less if I'm the biggest technical group out there... I mean, when it comes to technique, I really don't give a damn... I mean, I don't know if you get it, it's really the lack of substance that bothers me because if a group or a musician like that piece of crap Portnoy is considered technical, it doesn't mean anything to me... these poor guys are missing everything else, they lack personalitystyleoriginalityinnovati ontaste, everything, but EVERYTHING, and you're coming to talk to me about technique? Even a smooth band has technique, tons of it, so would you call it a great band? :D

It may or may not be to your liking, but it's a fact that shoegazer, besides being one of the few salvable genres from the '80s ;), is also one of the few redeemable movements in the UK over the past 20 years... however, among the influences of the Reid brothers, you forgot Velvet Underground, while it seems to me that The Smiths have little relevance.

Eh, but Scaruffi doesn't like the album much if there's no sabbatical suite with noisy crescendos... they should have played more like "Sister Ray" :D

MUAHAHAHAHH, allow me to laugh with you Omeganex, said by you this invitation sounds quite comical... but you have nothing better to do than to sift through months and months of nothing but DT reviews? And come on, expand yourself, there's a world of music waiting for you! I may be a bit more than pissed off with the DT, but you, my friend, are limited... so wake up, come on! ; )

Beautiful, truly very beautiful, the definition is spot on... but couldn't it ultimately apply to all of psychedelia? ; )

I also think it’s the best. And probably the only one really worth mentioning.

four: for the umpteenth time, I don't care if you like it and hum it in the shower, good for you, a review is not an obligation to listen to or not listen to an album, enjoy it as many times as you want, that doesn't change the fact that it's mediocre. Bye ; )

Third: it seems incredibly difficult to understand, but I didn't criticize this album because it's pop; I like pop. However, as with any form and genre of music, it has to be GOOD pop, creative, original, etc. Just because it's pop doesn't mean anything goes, as long as there's a nice melody; no, that's ridiculous. It would be the logical equivalent of admitting that all pop is mediocre and that it's okay for it to be that way, as long as there's a nice melody.
