Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Jokes aside, Octavarium giorgio is pretty much a piece of crap too, but overall it’s the least pretentious album in my opinion... it’s the record that best reveals all the huge limitations of the band, which in Octavarium appear indeed to lack a real style and, above all, are desperately searching for a true identity.

You see, Alex, what's the problem? :-) You say, and I obviously fully agree: it’s the emotionality that’s missing, and the fan responds: to say they don’t evoke emotions means you haven’t listened to them… how do you do it, I ask, how can you reason in these terms?? And they would even expect not to be considered ignorant, ehehehehe, little giorgetto :D

P.S. as for the fact that I would always write the same things, maybe you’ve missed a few thousand comments, but it’s easy to notice how everyone, and I mean everyone, who writes here, especially if it’s their first time, repeats exactly the same concept. So how could I respond with different arguments to the same points? Once again, Giorgetto, you’re losing touch with reality... :-) it’s fine to be biased but it annoys me to repeat myself because it's an additional humiliation for you; just read above and anyone can get an objective idea. You really give me the opportunity to take you apart, Giorgetto... ;)

"Proven"? "Proven"?? Giorgetto, when it comes to making up nonsense, you're worse than Berlusconi.. : D I understand that you keep seething with resentment over the foolish things you've done here, unable to be right just ONCE about your opinions, but the reality is hard to overturn; it's all written above, anyone who's interested can go take a look. To avoid humiliating you too much, I'll refrain from digging up our old discussions... but you should avoid shooting yourself in the foot... ; )

well, you too, giorgetto... you’ve been quite criticized. when you come back here, you could try to say something more meaningful.. of course, I understand the difficulty.. ;)

Ivan, I started by saying "the review is beautiful and precise"; it seems to me that I haven't shown any signs of envy.. your pointless comment would instead suggest a considerable dose of jealousy.. who knows, who knows ; )

Ambiguous yes, primitive in my opinion, not at all... it’s very calculated and very little instinctive, which in itself is not a flaw at all, let’s be clear... but I don’t feel it’s primitive at all.. ultimately it aims for a highly elaborate expressiveness, although supported by an inauthentically tribal attitude.. maybe the drumming is at times "primitive," but not always.
