:-) it’s not a clash of styles, if you hadn’t realized, but of consistency... eheheh ;-)

lux is exactly the opposite. There isn't a piece that is terrible in the sense of being glaringly ugly; there is only and solely absolute mediocrity. I would say that for me they represent the archetype of mediocrity.

hahahah :-D ..but then, Pauleta, you expect to define my a priori judgments by making a TOTALLY a priori statement (just to change things up, it's clearly a habit :-D) since you provide no evidence to support your ragtag "theory".. oh well.. what a fool..

But why should I have prejudices? Do you understand how completely illogical this statement is? To have prejudices, I would have to judge without having listened to them, and we have already more than adequately surpassed that phase... It seems to me that I have abundantly demonstrated that I have listened to them... But if I judge them after having listened to them, how can my judgments be prejudices? Do you know what prejudice means? Because I have some doubts about that :-) ...what a load of crap...

:-D what's the point of being in the studio.. just listen.. I don't know, as for a song that has stirred some kind of reaction in me, I really couldn't say which one.. it's stronger than me: after all, it's easy to understand that I'd find it hard to come across one: basically, the effect that DT has on me is the same as what Nickelback or Staind could do.. you know? those totally, completely useless rock bands.. that's where we are.

In fact, I don't compare Red to Six Degrees... I compare the entire period of King Crimson, whose approach is fundamentally identical to that of DT in Six Degrees... that the individual pieces are not the same is obvious: DT simply try to weave its oblique essence, the psychedelic experimentation (obviously repeating only the form of it)... I didn't respond to whether it moved me or not because it seemed to me an utterly unnecessary answer for what I explained to you: in any case no, just like all the pieces of this group it leaves me completely indifferent (which is quite different from saying "how ugly," and arguably it's even worse :-D)... in any case, I still don't understand what would be unique and original about DT's approach.

:-) But Larrok, the fact that a piece evokes emotions means absolutely nothing: even songs by Pausini or Ramazzotti provoke enormous feelings in listeners: would you call them art for this reason? ..to define "six degrees.." as innovative one must not have listened to King Crimson during the "red"-"three of a perfect pair" period.. it's really that simple :-) ...I still haven't understood, however, what the intent and expressive meaning of Dream Theater would be.
