It's undeniable that Hypocrisy have style (just listen to Catch 22), but apart from their earliest works, I've never really appreciated them. An interesting band, but they're not my kind of music.

Well, assuming that the quality of Meat Shits is as terrible as you say (I see you enjoy listening to shitty grind, if you want I can recommend a bunch of bands for you to have fun with), I don't think they are that irrelevant in the global scene. Honestly, I don't really love this new wave of Deathgrind. I don't know if the rumors about the members' work are true... there were also claims about Carcass that the drummer had a medical degree... the analysis isn't bad, but I'd give it a barely passing grade. In any case, this stuff in the vein of Impaled doesn't really do it for me. Better to stick with Lord Gore.
