I still haven't listened to it... antithesis of light was a ten...

well-written review, respectable point of view. But I like...always for the principle more=better...

A review I had in mind for about a year but was rightly "snatched" by a less lazy reviewer. However, I don't particularly like their review. The main influence I hear on this album is that of my fellow countrymen Ion Dissonance: let’s face it, there isn’t a lot of Death Metal here; I hear a lot of Mathcore. Undoubtedly, there's a significant technical leap, but calling Mograin one of the best six-string acrobats seems too much to me. Let’s say he’s a very, very, very technical guitarist, but I've heard more technical ones (though that's not always a good thing, mind you). Just think of the guitarists from Beneath The Massacre or even Ion Dissonance themselves. In any case, it's an exceptional album, one of the few bands to which I would give top marks for all four of their productions.

Well, I don’t know if it's better, even to the gory end is a cornerstone of the genre...

I downloaded them years ago, confusing them with the other atrocity... I was shocked—out-of-control eighty-year-olds.

thank you

gueddo, I miss the stupid little dances. I don’t love going to concerts except in exceptional cases... Yes, the devourment of Hardcore has them, but in other places I would just call them Ultra Brutal. Anyway, in general, Slam can go to hell. Fenrir, my thigh isn’t the worst around, but as for tendons, like, of the common flexor muscle of the toes, it’s definitely quite a lot.

Wow, so many comments... dude, I'll start with you. Honestly, I consider Ulktra Brutal and Slam to be practically the same thing. Apart from bands where the Hardcore component is very strong (like Cephalotripsy), I don't really feel it in bands like Devourment and similar ones. So for me, Ultra Brutal Death is almost synonymous with Slam. I think it's the worst of the worst of the origins. Technically skilled, no doubt, but absolutely mind-numbing and with creativity below zero. I thank all the commenters. A very valid band for genre lovers.

Thank you all: the review wasn't meant to be in opposition to Christmas, just to make that clear. I simply felt like writing today as well. I thank you again and wish you happy holidays. Anyway, iAlfredo, Brutal is my bread; right now, I occasionally go through periods where my listens are nearly zero, but that's because the groups eventually are not infinite and most of them say absolutely nothing. Fenrir, don't take offense, next time I'll do worse.

In my opinion, Nuclear Blast is the slimiest label in extreme metal.
