No. You probably misunderstood. I said that compared to Morse he was "inferior" (do you understand the function of the quotes?). And what do you have to say about Page?? He was truly the master of hyper-technicality (especially for his time). Blackmore did simple things that he executed divinely. And I think this was his main weapon: simplicity.
