Well, in truth, doom wasn't exactly invented by these three bands. All three originally didn't play doom, but death and/or gothic. Then, through a careful musical evolution, they became three of the best doom/gothic (not just doom, therefore) bands around, alongside Katatonia. And their evolution continues still. Opeth are "heavier," if we want, with many prog influences and a dark, nightmarish matrix. Give them a listen, and you won't regret it, dear ones!

A question. If I'm not mistaken, I saw some time ago at a friend's house a Tool album with a 3-D cover. It showed the anatomy of a human face (or the whole torso?) in profile. As you flipped through the cover, you could see the various tissues, nerves, arteries, etc., with a particular emphasis on the eyeball. Is that possible, or am I getting mixed up with another band?

But already from Countdown to Extinction, they had a change in everything. Personally, I appreciate the other albums from CTE onwards (not all of them, though), but it's pointless to deny that it’s no longer the primordial sound of Megadeth.

He's an absolute whirlwind! Live, he's a showstopper. He keeps the energy high, entertains the crowd, enchants with his voice, and is always incredibly active. It's a show within a show at a Maiden concert, trust me.
