You don’t play for others… if I play metal, in a truly excellent way, in a community of 100 people (for example) where 99 listen to Britney Spears and all sorts of shitty pop artists, and my way of playing the instrument is not appreciated, because it’s a different genre, I shouldn’t give a damn.
