For those who have the vinyl: haven't you seen the wonder of the inside of the cover?!

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!!! A friend just gifted me the album (on vinyl!) a few weeks ago, and right now I'm listening to "Moon In June," it’s really beautiful. The rest of the album doesn’t blow me away as much as an ELP record (for me, hearing Keith Emerson play the keyboards is an orgasm!!!)... But one thing is certain: nobody can take away that 4!!!

Dave and Pavlov's Dog, for now I only know them by name... (I still need to explore American Prog properly...) Right now I'm listening to "Third" by Soft Machine, do you know it?

No, I wouldn't say that... and do you know why? Because, although they are pop tracks lasting a maximum of 4 minutes, they first of all have the inimitable and instantly recognizable "Orme mark" of the album, and it is as you called it, namely THE BEAUTY, and finally they are ballads that, in terms of lyrics and melodies, convey great emotions. This is how I feel about "Orme" because I am sentimentally attached to it... it was one of the first records by Le Orme that I listened to as a child. Perhaps the only flaw of the album is the sound, too tied to the period in which the album was conceived: the '90s...

I’ve listened to them very little... The American Prog scene has delivered enough names, but only after the second half of the '70s, when in Europe Prog was fading away. As an American Prog group, I recommend "Fireballet." Their output is limited to just two LPs, and the first one is the best... it’s titled "Night On Bald Mountain" and it’s a Rock reinterpretation of the classical work of the same name by composer Modest Mussorgsky, clearly accompanied by four other original tracks written by the band. Nice recovery, Dave!

Recently, I discovered that this is not the first Italian live album, but "Searching For A Land" (1972) by the New Trolls (this album by the Trolls is like "Ummagumma" by Pink Floyd, half live and half studio). So, being rather picky, the record goes to the New Trolls, but if we want to consider a full live album, without a first/second studio part, then it goes to Le Orme...

Guys, remember that in "Smogmagica" there is one of the best (if not the best) Italian guitarists: Tolo Marton... He was even the only Italian guitarist to win the "Jimi Hendrix" award... These things should be noted and remembered, considering the increasingly declining local scene...
