Excellent mention of Morrison, Lord... Yes, the most sinister thing about "In Cauda..." is that when it was released (1969), only 300 copies were printed for just seven religious individuals!!! Today, one of those copies is worth a fortune, considering that the reissue from Black Widow on vinyl is already quite expensive (around 130 euros!!!)... The cover of "In Cauda..." is similar to this one up here, only it is in black and white.

Great rec Dave, you made me want to explore this album... which I still haven't listened to unfortunately. I found the part where you describe the different tracks and "characters" of the record intriguing...

Well done, Lord, for now I only own "In Cauda Semper Stat Venenum" and it's very beautiful, but from what you say in the rec this seems even better, if only I could find it!!! But does Charles Tiring also play on the previous album?

Excellent choice to review John, as in just a few days it will be 26 years since he passed away :((((( The way you reviewed it was original, well done!

Manticore "The Curse Of Baba Yaga" doesn’t have lyrics; it’s purely instrumental...

I bought the chart of the 500 albums (it was packaged and I didn't know what was inside...) Do you know who's among the American industry professionals in the ranking? None other than Ray Manzarek of the Doors (I think I read that, check if it's true...) It's a list made up solely of commercial records (and alas the top spots are all occupied by the Beatles...) and as Dave rightly pointed out, "The Piper..." is at the 347th position (almost at the end...), preceded by "Thriller" by Michael Jackson... :((((

The cover is stunning, the rec is good, and I haven't listened to the album yet (except for the Beatles cover, which I have in a "Best").
