Damn, I'm sorry fest, but I had noticed the absence of "lysol" and "stag" in the database for a while, and of course, Murphy's law hit again. Maybe you can think about "stag"! Anyway, you definitely made up for it with a series of considerations that are certainly more interesting than my review.

I completely agree with sommo festwca, I too have a preference for lysol: the Melvins are only connected to grunge due to their influence on Kurt Cobain's "Bleach," an album in which, by the way, Dale Crover played on a couple of tracks. However, they have always had their own peculiarities, especially since during the pivotal years of the Seattle scene, Buzzo and the gang had moved to San Francisco. Regarding the Cobain/Vedder discussion, Kurt wasn't particularly fond of Pearl Jam's music, but after meeting Eddie, he changed his mind about the person. In the end, the alleged conflict between Nirvana and PJ represented the dichotomy within the Seattle scene perfectly captured by Green River: those more distinctly punk (Arm, Cobain) and those more firmly rooted in hard rock (like Gossard and Ament). More than a style, grunge was a movement born under unique historical and environmental conditions, characterized by the frequent collaborations among its representatives.
