You're beautiful and good as always... I completely agree with travisbickle on "coast to coast."
Mudhoney Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge

The Mudhoney basically didn't care about success: having fulfilled their role as innovators, in the following twenty years they focused on playing their music while everything changed around them... consistency sometimes pays off, as they are still around and in great shape. I agree with everything in the review, it's a more than decent album, slightly inferior to the self-titled and the unattainable debut obviously, together with "Tomorrow Hit Today" it shares the third spot on the podium. By the way, "EGBDF" sold sixty thousand copies, crucial for keeping Sub Pop going.

AA.VV. Eurovision Song Contest - Helsinki 2007

Well, mine, dear psycho, was a provocation: in the 90s, MTV certainly showcased excellent proposals, and I say this as someone who grew musically watching the video of "smells like teen spirit"......now instead, on MTV there's the absolute void, a vanity fair of posh kids with Dolce & Gabbana outfits and fake alternative styles....at least these clowns from the Eurofestival take themselves much less seriously from what I've understood. I think a festival that opens up to tacky things, which nonetheless represent all of Europe, is much more representative of European culture than a kermesse like the MTV awards that brings the same old tired and clichéd stuff from the States to the old continent.....

surely better the Eurofestival than the MTV European Awards! the Eurofestival is consciously kitsch-trash (which I would avoid watching, but here we are), the MTV European Awards are stuff for serially lobotomized people...

Uhm, I don't think it's my kind of thing, but the review is really well done.

@orwell. "from a basement on the hill" is not the best work to get to know Smith: as splendid as it is, it’s a very intricate album and too tied to the author's personal situation. I’d like to suggest "either or" to try to change your mind. Regards.
