Yes, "No hidden path" also brought back to me certain hypnotic and abrasive moments from "sleeps with angels," and among them certainly the unattainable "change your mind." Notable too is "spirit road," with Molina's unmistakable drumming leading the dance. For an old man, Neil is still quite sprightly; this album is absolutely successful. Moreover, the tour is going very well: he even played "ambulance blues" recently... I won't add anything else! @deneil, thanks for the invitation, but the review of Zuma is already going very well and there's no need to clog the site with duplicates. However, you can find my personal review of "CD2" at www.storiadellamusica.it ciaooo

Neil Young Everybody's Rocking
Voto:
Well, indeed Neil is the quintessential artist for me, hehehe. I really like "Everybody's rocking," hailing its great quality of being very short, and "payola blues" is a small masterpiece. The 2 stars can be explained with a bit of critical rigor that is sometimes needed, especially in relation to the rest of his discography.

Great piece "Boxcar" as well, it reminded me of the legendary "for the turnstiles" which was on "On the beach", with those sharp banjo and pedal steel touches (Ben Keith, obviously)....few have the flair and elegance to revisit their past with shine, and Neil is among those, there's not much more to add.

Beautiful! I miss this, as soon as I’m done with the new young, I’ll give it a listen... the second album by Manassas, "Down the Road," boasts a couple of great tracks, including the title track. Unfortunately, the rest doesn’t live up to it, as if there was a certain rush to follow up on that great project, but without having the necessary raw material.

Good contemplation: are you also knowledgeable about Schonberg and Anton Webern by any chance? They are missing in the de-database. It would be good and right to review them! I’ve been listening to them lately, and I really like them a lot.
