The FNM diarchy period of Patton and the bespectacled guitarist was unmatched. It's amusing to notice how in every review, there's always someone who brings up Nirvana; soon enough, even in the comments on "hard candy," "nevermind" will pop up...

Nice review, well done also for recalling the fabulous Supersession with Stills.

After "Love Sexy," the worst cover from the little guy from Minneapolis.

Great review, I’ve never really liked them that much.

Perhaps your best review. I’m re-listening to all the Mats' albums and I hope to find the time to write something because only two reviews of Westerberg and company are a punch in the stomach for the site. At most I can give this 3 and a half stars; there are great songs, but the guitar work by Stinson feels a bit 'ghostly' (who would indeed be kicked out shortly after). Legendary Mats!

Do you remember the Beavis & Butthead joke "I couldn't tell if it was Pearl Jam copying Stone Temple Pilots or the other way around"? "I dunno, I think both of them suck." Heheheheh.

The best album by the RHP alongside "Down Colourful Hill," even though I've never loved them viscerally. Great review.

Beautiful discussion.. it takes me back to high school days. What can I say: album purchased the very day it was released and listened to until nausea, deeply immersed in the moods of that season. I definitely prefer "Tiny Music": that's where the eclecticism that my friend Alexander talks about really shines (still vastly inferior to that of the Jane's Addiction, who have always been the real beacon for Weiland and company).
