Better "Confessions of a Mask", but if only we had more books like that!
Simone Waisbard Le piste di Nazca

I miss this, even though the mysteries of Nazca fascinated me like crazy as a child.

Ideal soundtrack for the Mistral these days, rather not.
Rory Gallagher Calling Card

Good job.

Well, the Teenage Fanclub named an album "Thirteen," which had that track, "Gene Clark." Although the best homage from the Scots is on "Grand Prix": it's called "Neil Jung."

I didn't mention the third one in relation to Bell because Chris had already left Big Star: "Sister Lovers" is the delirium of a mystical Chilton intent on burning his brain chasing the perfect pop sound, much like Brian Wilson years earlier with "Smile." But it's probably too refined and sophisticated; I believe the most influential album by Big Star was the first one, where Bell really counts.

Giusty, however, you haven't revealed any of the mysteries of the cartoon. Did Roberto sleep with Holly's mom or not (they were always together and Holly's dad was always at sea...)? Why did Tom Becker speak in a effeminate voice and always touch Holly's butt after he scored? Was doping involved behind the endless rides in the prairies like Braveheart and Julian's heart problems?

Coincidentally, Bubi picks up the baton of my review on the Mats... "Children by the million sing for Alex Chilton when he comes 'round / They sing I'm in love. What's that song? I'm in love with that song / I never travel far without a little big star." Chilton is a god, but Supersoul rightly reminded us that albums like "#1 Record" were alien also thanks to Chris Bell, who died in a car accident similar to the one that took Marc Bolan around the same time and who wrote equally brilliant songs (his posthumous album "I Am the Cosmos" is stunning).
Tim Buckley Live at the Troubadour 1969
Voto:
"Dream letter" is Buckley's best live album, no doubt about it, featuring the best version ever of "Dolphins." This is an important document in its own right, showcasing some unique facets of Tim, but it’s the classic product for completists.
