Dear tabba, You probably haven't even listened to this album, since you only compare it to the ratings of your favorite musicians, and you haven't argued about the content. What can I say: everyone holds onto their own judgments, their own myths, and their own heroes. You gave 5 stars to a Prodigy album that for me is a joke, but I keep my judgment to myself; I didn't come here to tell you "Heresy! Tizio deserves half a point more than Caio" or "This is tabba" like you do. Bye Bye

Some controversies are really futile. It's evident that the Red Hot Chili Peppers are today as mainstream as one can imagine: a calm and harmless band that brings joy to the radio, on par with U2, Ligabue, or Oasis. Fans of this kind of music can therefore buy their albums sight unseen. Those who appreciated the Peppers up until Blood Sugar Sex Magik clearly need to look elsewhere for the emotions that Kiedis and company can no longer provide. It's all so clear: is there really a need to insult each other??

What matters is what a thing communicates, which is certainly different from what it actually is, and that is known only to its author. It communicated one concept to me, and another to you. Perfect. If everyone thought the same way, what would be the point of writing on this site? The problem perhaps is that there are a number of sacred cow authors who, if they don’t receive a 5 in every review, unleash the wrath of the alternative Hindus.
Prodigy The Fat of the Land

a truly pointless review, for one of the most clownish albums ever. The early Prodigy were something completely different; here they were just caricatures for MTV. Grocery store crossover.

They are two extremely different genres; it doesn’t make sense to compare a Neil Young album to one by Radiohead (even though Radiohead has taken a lot from Young: the riff of "Karma Police" is typically Youngian, for example). An album similar to "OK Computer" is "Sultans of Sentiment" by Van Pelt, which I reviewed: in that genre, that's a 5-star album for me. Because it sounds more modern and innovative compared to many aspects of "OK Computer" (especially in the guitar parts, which I often find bland and outdated), because the singer doesn't have the self-indulgent approach at all costs that Yorke has, and is infinitely less pretentious. That said, "OK Computer" is a good album.
