great review for an album I'm curious to listen to. Too bad I almost didn't notice this review, relegated as it was to the bottom of purgatory... but why didn't the editors put it among the recommended ones, instead of the tenth review of "ten"? A mystery...

Great review, very intense and inspired. Beautiful especially the ending. The album is perhaps less successful compared to the previous live Weld, where something new was being experimented with. The version of "Transformer Man" and "Mr. Soul" is deserving of applause, rendered as two heartfelt ballads, completely different from the original versions. The rest flows by: a high-class routine.

I was thinking of reviewing this album too, since no one had talked about Gram yet. A genius and deeply moving musician like very few others. Truly great!

unjustly underestimated, even by certain press that put Prozac on the cover more....

Well, even the early records of Soundgarden were precious goods, in their post-punk and new wave eclecticism where they wedged in the riffs of Page and Iommi... in fact, they only achieved great success with "Black Hole Sun."

Nevermind by Nirvana was certainly not about the contemplation of pain, but rather an invitation to move forward (evident both in the title and on the cover), using music as a release valve. If anything, In Utero… Ten is certainly not an AOR album, but it is undeniable that Parashar’s production has given it a surface-level radio appeal. Whoever wrote “almost the entire grunge scene and Sub Pop produced AOR stuff” probably never listened to Ultramega OK by Soundgarden, Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney, and Bleach by Nirvana.

thank you fesywca...the opinion on this album is very subjective, I really like it, but I make it clear that it is fundamentally for old fans of jane's addiction...

After "let it be," I think something was missing... it's still a good album. Great review.

"I feel like goin' back, back where there's no where to stay....."... a record that lacks courage, but is simply magical.
