Well, the jokes, the Twilight Singers aren't that new... anyway, regarding the grunge/Afghan Whigs discussion, the influence of Dinosaur Jr. was quite strong, especially in the guitarist's style, at least in the early albums... I liked them up to Gentlemen: both this one and Black Love weren't that great.

@ trellheim, I know the difference between whig and wig, but it seems to me that English liberals in parliament wore wigs: that was the wordplay (anyway, the name refers to a gang of Muslim bikers in Florida, I think, but you surely know better than I do: you’re the dullian exegete). Regarding Greg's slang, you're right; he does state somewhere here, "Sleep iz a state of mind." But I wrote the review this morning at dawn, coming back from "allouin," so the typos in the titles are clearly alcohol-induced mistakes that I didn't have time to correct before sending, and I apologize for that, inviting the editors to fix it.
@bartleboom. I'm sorry, but send it anyway. It might be better than mine, and it can provide different insights on a great group (no NIBILO, I'm sorry, I don't agree with you at all!)
