Thank you all: easy, let's say that the calmness and certain patterns are typically Swedish, but in my opinion, the Californian echoes and a certain underlying intelligence help to evade certain traps: among other things, I'm not particularly fond of indie pop, yet I like this album and I believe it is definitely free from pitfalls.

Very good Zarathustra, no one had reviewed this album yet. In my opinion, it's decent, but nothing more.
Pop Group For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?

Excellent, right among my recommendations. A splendid historical-musical fresco, we really needed this review. I only disagree with the comparison to Dylan: it's difficult and probably pointless to make comparisons between different eras, especially citing someone like Bob who, despite all the missteps taken later, was truly light-years ahead of everyone in his time. Cheers!

Thank you for the comments: @rob86, I don't mind "trans" either: I talked about the album being "discretely unlistenable." That is, I have the utmost respect for that project and for the family reasons that led him to experiment with the vocoder: However, the outcome was not artistically the best, indeed, at times even "unlistenable" from a stylistic point of view, but it's certainly an album I would give 3 stars for courage and for some flashes here and there. The only album by Young that I find horrible is "Old Ways," steeped in stereotypical and cheesy country.

Thank you all for the comments. I have little to add: as always, I am on the same wavelength as zigghio and sherman, and I invite vivis, denver, and sephiroth to get this gem.

Regarding the Beatles, I think their best works are the White Album and Abbey Road; they are practically perfect, with no drop in quality. On "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper's," however, there are a few lesser tracks, especially those from Harrison’s pen, which don’t hold up as well in comparison. However, I disagree with the definition of mainstream pop: if the mainstream were all like this, the ā€œalternativeā€ wouldn’t really exist. Personally, I also prefer Love to the Beatles, but it's like saying someone prefers Platini to Maradona: it’s absolutely subjective, a comparison nonetheless between titans.

I would say yes, to be taken on faith: anyway, I think that for your lysergic-West Coast tastes, you could start with Buffalo Springfield to discover Neil! I especially recommend "Buffalo Springfield Again." See you!
