Mario Bava Operazione Paura

Mario Bava was honored by the Beastie Boys in the video for "Body Movin'." Trash, but certainly classy. I completely agree with Bartleboom.

Fidia to reviews is like suazo to Cagliari: every comment is unnecessary.

It's a ghost track...the classic hidden track. Honestly, I find it awful, at best a divertissement. But I couldn't tell you the name. Bye.

I have a mix of fear and hope as I approach the day when I'll buy their new album: like all the bands I've loved a lot, on one hand the reunion allows me to reconnect with old friends who have given me so much, but on the other hand, the fear of a disappointing release (like with Jane's Addiction) or truly painful work is lurking around the corner... who knows. To the groups that iride suggested, I add "where you been," their best work from the major label period, where Neil Young's influence on J... is most evident. As for Nirvana, I'm not entirely in agreement; while Cobain surely appreciated Mascis, I believe the Pixies were more decisive in shaping Cobain's musical education. Regards.

Reading it again, I can't help but compliment you once more, Massimo. Out of curiosity, I got my hands on it, and I really think it’s a great album... since there’s no review of "Music from the Big Pink" yet... do you have one in the works? Otherwise, I can do it myself... let me know.

Alice In Chains Unplugged (DVD)
Voto:
Great album, even though it’s basically a greatest hits of the band, and almost all the tracks were already in unplugged versions, while the acoustic versions of electric classics like "rooster" don’t quite measure up. I prefer the Nirvana unplugged; at least there were some excellent covers. Certainly a brilliant document of a band that symbolizes the nineties.

pretazzo, a comment on this old statement from your beloved Billy Corgan. "Fuck Steve Albini, I hate Big Black, they disgust me"...ps great review

Neil Young On the Beach
Voto:
thank you hobbit: tonight's the night was recorded in 1973, and it was supposed to be released after "time fades away." However, the record label refused a deliberately introspective and suicidal second album after "TFA" and placed a veto on its release. Neil then recorded "on the beach," and in early 1975, he was supposed to release "Homegrown"... instead, "Tonight's the night" was pulled out, and it’s still unclear exactly why, although Young stood firm in favor of TNT, and the very executives at Reprise preferred it to "homegrown," one of Neil's many lost albums. Some tracks ended up on the first side of "Hawks and doves," while others are expected to be included in the long-awaited definitive box set from uncle Neil... bye!
