Ah, here’s what was missing on this page: Stoney’s long-winded comment! :D

Yes Gustavo. I bought, as soon as it came out, "Nordest Cowboys" (I believe it was 1999) and later "Alterazioni" from 1997, well I think I definitely wore them out... actually! I have definitely worn them out, since I can't find them anymore!! :DD

I don't think Baustelle are bad, even if they don't drive me crazy. However, just today I thought of an Italian band from a few years ago: Estra, I don't know if anyone remembers them, but I think they were worth it.

Anyway, it’s with groups like Wire that you realize that musical "labels" make no sense at all.

I really like Wire, but I couldn't place them in a specific category. Post-punk before punk?? :)

Elysha, after seeing the group and the vote, I thought you were a 14-year-old bimbominkia, but I’m very pleased to notice that’s not the case at all. As for the music, well, I can't find a single detail that interests me in these dashing young lads (??). Beauty salon soundtrack.

Perhaps not THE hardcore band par excellence, but definitely THE hardcore sound par excellence. Minor Threat played in '81 like any hc band (with little creativity) sounds today.

@Progrock: "something uncommon," unfortunately yes, I have never placed limits on my choice of music. After a teenage phase filled with ultra-heavy music (metal, grind), I started listening to everything. The funny thing is that now, years later, some old friends tell me: "but didn't you listen to metal??" and I have to explain every time about broadening horizons, how people change as they grow, and so on. I know people who have only ever listened to (and still persist in doing so..) exclusively AC/DC, just to name one..:D

Mollet, up here on deb there was a thick crowd of characters who only considered music pre-77, so when I saw your first sentence I had a deja-vu… forgive me for the rash consideration. :DD
