In the end, all the "discussions" that happen in here about historical significance, innovation, etc., when you put on a record, they don’t mean shit anymore. The most incredible thing is that some people FORCE themselves to enjoy a record just because it’s a masterpiece acclaimed by everyone.

Honestly, I don't care at all about which bands were influenced by the Beatles for the simple reason that I listen to them because I like them, I don't give a damn about who was the most influential band in history, I listen to the music I enjoy. To put it this way: the fact that I like listening to "the modern dance" isn't dictated by the incredible influence it had on the music that followed, but essentially by the great music that reaches my ears.
