"...don't you think it would have been even more awesome?". I don't know, I really like both Hubbard and Jones, and anyway these are talks that don't lead anywhere. "Speak No Evil" has gone down in history with THAT lineup and it remains with THAT lineup. I reiterate and confirm (...and I light it up!) that "Kind Of Blue" doesn't excite me. And that it's the best album in the history of jazz, I couldn't care less...:DDD

I've never been excited about the album. I'm absolutely not against duplicates, but don't you think it's more interesting to post fresh reviews, meaning of albums that haven't been reviewed yet?

I want to make it clear that I LOVE the albums of Miles' 2nd quintet... just to clear up any doubts!

@conte: apart from the fact that "the crap" is my personal opinion and preference :D, the two peaks (respectively of S. soloist and the 2nd quintet of Davis) are "Speak No Evil" and "Miles Smiles." They are both monstrous works, but I prefer the first one! There you go! :DD and while I'm at it: I also prefer "Bitches Brew" to "Kind of Blue," take that! :DD

Check out this 5! :D Coincidentally, the CD is about to arrive...:D Anyway, I prefer Shorter’s albums from the mid '60s to the records of Miles' 2nd quintet, yes indeed! :D I also agree with the first sentence, one of the greatest.

Well, Yide, if you point out the songs worth listening to, I would be more than happy to give Shakira another chance. After all, you never stop learning... :D
Shakira Live From Miami - Oral Fixation Tour

Well, Yideirita, the fact is this: Shakira may make the music she likes, but that doesn't change the fact that it's the usual pre-made music for those in a hurry who don't want to try listening to something "really" serious and original. Okay, she may be far from the various Spears and Aguilera, but that's not much of an achievement; it's still just light pop/rock music. Songs that are good for being listened to on the radio while distracted. Songs that you forget about after 2 minutes. As I mentioned elsewhere, this is just "entertainment," quite banal actually.

I just reread the comments on this page. All excellent and interesting. Since I posted my previous comment, I was able to buy and listen to the album. Fantastic record, the second volume is also a must-have.

As a character, I’ve always liked him; he has always stayed out of the spotlight, and he’s made some great songs. Great review.
