John Coltrane Stellar Regions
Voto:
"John Coltrane wasn't playing for money or success" absolutely true, dolphy, I share the same exact opinion. After all, if there’s a genre that is played mainly out of passion (with little commercial ambition), it is definitely jazz, too far removed (especially these days) from mainstream taste and radio preferences...

Very beautiful and "visionary" the review, Dolphy. This is an album I’ve had on my list for a while... instead, I own "Interstellar Space," which I imagine is in a similar stylistic vein, featuring only John on sax and Rashied on drums.

Nooo, I know them! They're good and, as you say, very young. The drummer must be around 16/17 years old if I'm not mistaken... :D they can still improve a lot, the talent is definitely there. I also know the singer from Amia Venera, what a great character!! :D

So John Coltrane with Giant Steps wrote one of the greatest masterpieces of AOR-Bop??? :D
The Beatles Revolver

Great album. Since "Rubber Soul" I adore the Beatles. The early albums don't say much to me instead...

I watched some videos on YouTube, and I feel inclined to quote Psycho, which is fundamentally a commercial product. Of course, the quality level is higher than its counterparts across the ocean, but nothing essential, indeed.

In other words, when talking about a musician, they are either overrated or they are not, that's what I meant to say.
