After all, if there’s a genre that is played mainly out of passion (with little commercial ambition), it is definitely jazz, too far removed (especially these days) from mainstream taste and radio preferences...

Very beautiful and "visionary" the review, Dolphy. This is an album I’ve had on my list for a while... instead, I own "Interstellar Space," which I imagine is in a similar stylistic vein, featuring only John on sax and Rashied on drums.

Nooo, I know them! They're good and, as you say, very young. The drummer must be around 16/17 years old if I'm not mistaken... :D they can still improve a lot, the talent is definitely there. I also know the singer from Amia Venera, what a great character!! :D

I watched some videos on YouTube, and I feel inclined to quote Psycho, which is fundamentally a commercial product. Of course, the quality level is higher than its counterparts across the ocean, but nothing essential, indeed.
