"about those who write senseless nonsense with blinkers" ---> in the sense that the nonsense has blinkers or that those who write it use blinkers instead of a keyboard? :DD

Sorry, I meant to say: "...this, like "Red Clay" and "First Light" :D
Freddie Hubbard Straight Life

Nooo, I just quoted Hubbard and his CTI albums yesterday. This one is great, like "Red Clay" and "Straight Life," for me they are 5-star. As for the sincerity of these works, I'm not sure; probably the good Hubbard wanted to ride the funk wave to boost his wealth, but the fact remains that I consider them among the best jazz-funk albums of the early '70s.
Miles Davis Amandla

Grass is right: the sound of Davis's trumpet is unmistakable. However, from what I've noticed by listening to records and reading scattered opinions online, Davis wasn't a technical monster; he claimed that he preferred to play a few notes, but of value rather than doing fast scales that, in his opinion, were inconclusive. Of course, if you want to listen to a technical monster on the trumpet who has produced great albums, you can turn to Freddie Hubbard. His Blue Note records and the first three for CTI are absolutely essential in my opinion.

Marcus Miller should have composed most of the tracks on "Tutu" if I remember correctly.

Opel, I had the same thought you did about "Tutu" years ago, but I was disappointed. And I do quite like Marcus Miller's solo albums.

The only '80s Davis stuff I know is Tutu, and I think it really sucks. I will try to listen to this as well, even though I have strong doubts that I will like it.

The fact that you release 6 albums every year doesn't mean anything. It could just be someone who records every fart his ass decides to make. Just as it’s not automatic that releasing an album every 2 years is a sign of little inspiration.
John Coltrane Impressions

Great album, of the two "modal" tracks I definitely prefer "Impressions" (fantastic!), I'm not too fond of "India."

Here I am, Count, I have arrived as well, although with a significant delay; after all, many reviews get lost in the depths of the site. :D This is undoubtedly one of the (many!) peaks of Blue Note, a masterful album by a colossal artist.
